Semi-friendly staff, ok ice cream. It’s definitely a neighborhood joint, so I can see the charm! I had the cookies and cream, a classic! Wide range of flavors.

Vic’s Ice Cream has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up going there with friends and family, and as a kid, I don’t think I understood how lucky I was to have ice cream this good as my baseline. I stopped by last night with my lifelong friend Andrew before moving out of town. We were already meeting up nearby, and we decided to make one last spontaneous visit to a place that has meant a lot to us over the years. Jaiden helped us, and honestly, JAIDEN WAS A HOMIE!! I mentioned that it was my last time in town and asked if there was a “go-to” final scoop I should get as a last hurrah. Instead of just giving a recommendation, she offered to give us almost every flavor. Naturally, we said yes. To be clear, this was not a normal order I would expect anyone to ask for. Jaiden took her time putting it together, and I started to feel bad because it clearly took effort while other customers were coming through. That made it feel even kinder. The cup itself showed how much thought Jaiden put into it. The base was all the seasonal flavors, and they naturally worked together. The middle was all the classic flavors, so every bite turned into these beautiful little h

A true Sacramento legend! With the best icecream and milkshakes it's a must stop. However, the vibes are immaculate and the hotdog sandwiches are just as legendary as their shakes. This place hasn't changed since 1947 and they've kept true to their recipes. You get the shake +the mixing cup still too. The only way to enjoy. Come visit Vic's and experience some true classic Americana

June 2026: Nice young people that work the counter. Mini sundae $8 is great. I tried the grape flavored phosphate and it was fantastic --like a light housemade soda. Two major thing would make this review go up to five stars. First, please add hooks under the bar counter. It is desperately needed. Second, please have the servers show line item receipts before charging customers with the terminal. I don't know if I was charged correctly. I thought I ordered a small phosphate but it looked large. I left wondering if I paid for a service mistake. I'd rather have peace of mind for an extra 30 seconds at checkout time. April 2026: Best banana split in town. I love that it is served in a glass banana split boat rather than a disposable container (side eye G*nthers). It came with a banana, 3 scoops of ice cream, strawberry drizzle, pineapple, whipped cream, almonds (!) and cherries on top. 🍒 For $15 that is less than the cost of three individual scoops, which made me happy. Best when shared. FYI it's thin chocolate sauce not hot fudge on this one. My only criticism is the ambience inside felt rushed vs. slow-paced or enjoyable. Something about the line of people crowding the door. Pretty

My buddy and I went and got a milkshake. We had to stop at Starbucks to get bigger straws bc the ones that came with it were impossible to drink out of… Hopefully you guys upgrade the straws next time. Shakes were tasty 👍🏽
